The great news however is that one of her lifelong friends from Barbados visited the country to see her and while doing so, took her to the Jamaican Pantomime. You could hear the sheer excitement in her voice when she shared the story and my heart was full. Good News: Mrs. Holmes also gave me permission to create a profile for her to give her access to DoDaBlue. Bad News: I subsequently came to find out that there wasn’t a single computer or access to the Internet at her Nursing Home. I was shocked and figured that we need to do something to resolve this unfortunate situation. We cannot allow active minds of our seniors like Mrs. Holmes to waste away. This will definitely be one of our 2012 projects.
