So almost everywhere in Japan we can see these kinds of night dance performance to invite ancestors' soul and spirit in various type. But this area is so unique to cover their faces with so mysterious face mask. This is because once upon a time there were so many battles in this areas and they camouflages not to identify the dance is lady or man, this is not so sure-- But so mysterious mid night moment in the hottest season in northern area.
