As i sat in traffic this morning totally being ignored by my kids, she was reading Nancy Drew and he was listening music and playing a game on his phone. This has become the norms so i began listening to my soca (doh tell mi dat by kerwin) and moving about while waiting on the traffic to start moving
Thais tapped me on the shoulder
Her: " Mommy mommy look God is sending us a message look on that angel's wing in the clouds" (one wing)
Me: “Thais i can’t look while driving darling and you know that”.
Her: “ Mommy, please look. Oh my i see a bear's face. Look no mommy”
Traffic was still so I wound down the window, took off my sunglasses and took a look. She was right. There it was the wing of an angel just as we often saw it in books and movies. Yes there was a bears face and it was a cute bear and I smiled.
Me: Thanks Thais I really enjoyed that. It made my day
Her: I love watching the clouds Mommy, they have lots of stories to tell. I see a lot of shapes and Animals too but you have to watch them carefully so you can see them.
I smiled to myself. I was in a pensive mood and this had me thinking. I was worried about a few things I had pending and with time running out I was almost in a panic mode but God sent me a message and thanks to my daughter I received it.
Many times God sends us a reminder that he is still working on your problems. He sends us a message and it is for us to acknowledge it. That message was certainly for me this morning and I made sure to acknowledge it. That message came through my daughter and if I was stubborn I would have missed it. My son did not see what we saw. He tried hard but it was not for him to receive.
Today, I urge you to be patient and look out for the message God is sending you to let you know he is still working on your problems, he has not forgotten you not one bit. Also be careful you do not block your messenger. Sometimes we are so caught up in our own world and think nothing of someone trying to get our attention and we miss the message. Don’t block your own blessing . Don't be too busy finding your own solutions after you have asked him for help and end up missing your message.
Can i love my kids anymore? I will try. BTW i am wearing that cute bracelet my son gave me last night..
