Alison Nadine was the star of her tree at Christmas in 2013.
What is special about this photo is not that:
1. I am visiting Alison at her home in London back in Christmas 2013.
2. We have a friendship that dates all the way back to our High School years.
3. The star on the Christmas tree aligns perfectly overhead thereby making her the star in this photo.
In my opinion, the most interesting thing about this photo is the fact that we are standing in Alison’s family room and she has an accented wall painted in black with the word LOVE painted in red large capital letters right smack in the middle of it.
This word symbolizes Alison. In fact her twitter name is LOVEPEACEDOVE. Go see for yourselves. In talking to and spending time with Alison, I have come to realize how special and insightful she is. Recently she has become intensely passionate about topics that many shy away from, but I believe we are all blessed with various gifts and those gifts translate into our purpose in this lifetime.
For three years Alison was shy, or let me say apprehensive to speak or write in our community. She has no idea how moved I am by her courage to finally do so now, especially because her topic of conversation are controversial and in some cases shunned by some.
As Alison tries to navigate her way towards finding her ultimate purpose, she shares her findings to help her in reaching a better conclusion via interaction with others that may have questions or varied opinions.
Let us as a diverse community, continue to remain open minded, tolerant and supportive of those that have a different purpose and perspective from us. If no one else is listening, then you have at least one person that is listening Alison. What is it that you are being told to tell...?
PS: Ok Alison, all that is left for you now, is to walk down the hallway and unlock the door, you just need to find the right key.
