Salutations Gentlemen,
I just want to use this opportunity to express my gratitude and give acknowledgement to the Gentlemen of the One True Blue College we revere and hold so dear.
I have been overwhelmed with calls and messages since 11 pm on election night, which started with a conference call. I am not calling any names since some are still a part of the silent majority; you guys know who you are. I was pleasantly surprised by the outreach and in a moment wondered if I was the Presidential candidate or at the very least got a window into seeing what it felt like to be one. :)
That being said... I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and express my appreciation for the class you all displayed in conveying your congratulations and politely agreeing to disagree after our spirited debates and despite our different perspectives and objectives. This is a reflection of our deeply rooted common principles and values that we acquired during our matriculation. They are essential components of our brotherhood and eternal bond.
This says a lot about the content of our character and I feel very proud about that. We are cut from the same blue fabric and this is why we should never take the principles we hold in high regard for ourselves and to each other, for granted.
It is my desire that we will continue to treat each other with love and respect on our quest to arrive at the same destination. In so doing we will all be united on one side and that is the side of truth, because the truth does not pick sides and we should at the very least, be able to all agree that there can be only one truth. I wish you all the best on your quest.
