Born in Jamaica in the year 1981 to parents Iva and Vincent Hunter in little district called Lewis Store my childhood years are filled with fond memories. I began school at an early age since my mother was a teacher at Highgate Hall Age Primary in Highgate, St. Mary and I was drawn to music as my dad had a small sound system that would fill the air with Bob Marleys albums every Sunday evening after church. Jamaica Still Has HOPE!

slap on my thigh and my daughter proceeded to try and pull me into a standing position " Get up mommy get up quick the national anthem is playing get up get up".
In the middle of me saying " What is...." I noticed my 13 year old son standing at attention in the kitchen and my daughter doing the same and it was then I glanced up and realized it was the beginning of Monday Night football and the National Anthem was being played. So I just continued standing well I kotched on the sofa handle like a spoiled little kid until it ended then collapsed into the sofa once more. " Mommy you should know better" were the words that pierced my ears and all I could say in my defense is that I never realized and I  apologized
I think there is hope for our country. Dont you think so too? I am sure there are many other parents out there growing their kids just like I am preparing the future for these leaders. I was both ashamed and proud at the same time. To often have we heard the phrase children live what they learn and learn what they live so we as parents need to live an exemplary life for our children to learn from and when they stand out we need to salute them. For Childs Month I want every parent to do some introspection and see where in their lives they can begin to live how the live they want their children to learn. Happy Child’s Month to my Daughter Thais and Jelani. Love unnu nuff nuff.
