Born in Jamaica in the year 1981 to parents Iva and Vincent Hunter in little district called Lewis Store my childhood years are filled with fond memories. I began school at an early age since my mother was a teacher at Highgate Hall Age Primary in Highgate, St. Mary and I was drawn to music as my dad had a small sound system that would fill the air with Bob Marleys albums every Sunday evening after church. Successfully passing my Common Entrance Examination in 1992 I moved on to St. Mary High School then subsequently to Marymount Business College and pursued additional Business Courses. Read More...

Living On a Prayer

with lymphoma. I suddenly became numb and it took me a while to start getting into the conversation. I really did not expect that diagnosis.

Flonia is a 1996 graduate of  St. Mary High School. I have known Flonia (FE FE) since I was a toddler going school with my mother to Highgate All Age way before I had reached the age to attend school. During the years I remembered going by her home as her grandmother had lots of fruit trees especially the guava tree, big guavas which I loved.

Years have separated us however facebook had reconnected us and it takes situations like these to stop you in your tracks and just start praying. As is usual I checked on her again today. The news isn’t bright and her battle continues and it must be hard for her to accept that another friend of hers whom she met while doing her treatment lost her battle with cancer and will be laid to rest on Saturday.

Tagene Brown McBean's little sister Shanusha is 7 years of age and was diagnosed with leukemia. I have visited her at the hospital and that little girl is such an angel, a bright future ahead. Today all I can ask is that you help me to continue pray for Flonia and Shanusha, help me pray for their healing and for divine intervention.

Some days you interact with persons who are going through so much in their life and not everyone will speak out for us to know therefore it is important to sometimes send a private message asking “how are you?’ and even if they say they are fine you can still offer a kind word and let them know your there if they need you. Don’t just say it make sure you mean it because best believe they will use it. I have been awaken some weird hours from constant alerts from persons who need a shoulder to cry on and I don’t mind being there. NO MAN IS AN ISLAND, NO MAN STANDS ALONE. So Fiona and Shan you’re not alone.

Prayer from Tasheka Ramsay Rowe

We are weak in your eyes Lord!
We are helpless without you God!
We are nothing without you almighty!
He is God and he can deliver us from evil!
I come before you today to say thank you
for all you have done!
Thank you for your many blessings
And most of all thank you for life.
I also come before you today to ask you to look upon my friends in need
Lord I pray that you will HEAL them Lord
You know
what’s best and I know that you will do what’s best for Flona’s and Tagene’s families.
I ask you to give them the will and understanding to continue with an uplifted spirit.
I ask that you send a cure for all and that they may have eternal life through you Jesus.
Please be with them, guide them, protect them, heal them and lead them in the right direction for success in
whatever they do. These mercies we ask in your name. Amen
