It is Saturday morning and you wake up to the sound of rain battering your roof top. No work today for some while others will make their way to church in a few. Happy Sabbath!
For those who will remain in bed, a quick stretch then a yawn and in no time hunger starts to pelt the stomach walls joining the pattern of the rain. What to cook?
I decided to knock on a few of my friends doors early this morning and gather a list of the 10 Possible Jamaican Breakfast on a rainy weekend.
Lets go!
1. Cornmeal Porridge
2. Fried green plaintain with tin mackereal.
3. Steamed Cabbage and boiled Bananas
4. Calaloo, ripe plaintain and bread
5. Saltfish Flitters (Fritters)
6.Salt mackerel with some soft yam and banana with some mint tea
7. Fry dumplings with mackerel chocolate tea
8. Ackee m saltfish with fried dumplings and real chocolate tea
9. Peanut Porridge
10. Red herring and renta yam
