Born in Jamaica in the year 1981 to parents Iva and Vincent Hunter in little district called Lewis Store my childhood years are filled with fond memories. I began school at an early age since my mother was a teacher at Highgate Hall Age Primary in Highgate, St. Mary and I was drawn to music as my dad had a small sound system that would fill the air with Bob Marleys albums every Sunday evening after church. Successfully passing my Common Entrance Examination in 1992 I moved on to St. Mary High School then subsequently to Marymount Business College and pursued additional Business Courses. Read More...

yOU'RE INVITED SO COME sEE tHE SnOW..I mean SHOW

To be apart of such a great legacy means alot to me, my family and friends. Over the years children like myself were afforded the opportunity to journey to Kingston from the country to see the yearly Pantomime production. It was a tradition which we enjoyed and looked forward to every year. Our journey back home would never be the same as we chanted songs and quoted lines from the play and this carried on for weeks when we were back at our primary school. Fond memories.

Rehearsals are in the last stages and the cast is enthusiastic and ready to perform for you. We are certain you will enjoy this show with your family. We are certain you will leave the theatre singing a few of our songs and tapping your feet to the rhythm.

Now as an adult and a proud member of the said cast that i have admired over the years it is quite an achievment. I am a grateful for the experience. When i joined the cast in July 2012 i was a clean slate. My only acting experience were the ones i reenacted in my mind or when i did karoke on a friday evening; I had raw talent. Since then, I have grown. Not fully blossomed but the company fostered, nurtured and ensure that i was transformed. I was handed over to Faith Bucknor, an elder in the company who took me under her wings and with her guidance there was never one night i entered that stage feeling uncertain of my character or my ability to perform. She ensured that i was ready and she taught me the does and donts of theatre life. I enjoy performing on stage, I lit up like a light bulb when the curtain is open. I enjoy seeing the smiles on the faces of the audiences and i feel fulfilled when the curtain closes and i know i went out there and i performed at my best. I still have a lot to learn, which everyday i learn something new every time i enter a rehearsal. Those who new me when i first began could tell you that Miss Barbara Gloudon often said " Donna you need to open your mouth and let the sound come out" Now i think they wish my loud mouth would not hurt their ears so much.

I urge today's parents to continue that tradition and take your children so they too can have these memories. I urge you to help the LTM carry on the torch that was lit from Ward Theatre. the torch that Miss Louise Bennet, Charles Hyatt and Professor Nettleford has left behind. Our heritage is apart of our upbringing, it is apart of our future. Help keep it alive by sharing your stories with your children about your experience,  let us help them create these fond Memories.

There are many other theatrical productions to see, the pantomime is the ONLY production that caters to the entire family especially the little children.
