Born in Jamaica in the year 1981 to parents Iva and Vincent Hunter in little district called Lewis Store my childhood years are filled with fond memories. I began school at an early age since my mother was a teacher at Highgate Hall Age Primary in Highgate, St. Mary and I was drawn to music as my dad had a small sound system that would fill the air with Bob Marleys albums every Sunday evening after church. Successfully passing my Common Entrance Examination in 1992 I moved on to St. Mary High School then subsequently to Marymount Business College and pursued additional Business Courses. Read More...
JAMAICA JAMAICA- ROAD TRIP TO Ocho Rios
If it is raining heavily for a few hours the river may overflow its banks causing the authorites to close the gorge until the water recedes. DONT be scared while crossing this bridge just take a deep breath:)
Up the hill we go :- Mount Rosser. few meters or up hill with a steep drop is not my idea of fun but this does not deter me from getting to my destination. Sections of the road way are wide while some are narrow. just be sure to listen out for the horns of the huge trucks signaling their approach and stay focus on the road. This hillside over looks an alumina pond. Quite a view.
Hey do not look down now :)
FAITH'S PEN
By Now you maybe hungry and may be in need of a rest stop.
Ackee and saltfish, Roast Bradfruit, Steamed Calaloo, Escoveitch Fish, Jerk Chicken, Jerk pork, Chicken soup, Fried bammy,, Pear and a host of other Jamaica Dishes. Be prepared, when you drive in vendors will hurridly try to get you to coem to their shop. Just remain calm and ask them to give you a few seconds then take your time to view what is available. This is a well deserved stop on your way to the Garden Parish.
Turn Left to Challky Hill, Take the right and your are entering Moneague. To your immediate right you will pass the Jamaica Defense Force Moneague Training Camp. i have never seen much activinty out on the front of the camp but would like to get to tour to see what it is like. Just incase you may need cash there is also an ATM at the front of the property.
My favourite view is the (drum roll please) FERN GULLY
Home to over 570 species of ferns this rainforest is a must see. Along the way you the see craft
vendors exhibiting their talents. Be sure to pick up a soveneir or two to take home with you.

The Beach
We just travelled from St. Catherine to Ocho Rios. For those who have travelled this path before I am sure it brought back lovely memories. For my readers who have neverbeen to Jamaica make it a must visit this year. I guarantee that it will be worth every penny you spent.
This morning as I woke up my mind started this mental road trip and I began to smile as the thought of jumping in my car and heading to the Garden Parish took over my mind. My one regret for this blog is that I never got a chance to use my own photographs sharing my own experiences but I will do so when I make my next road trip destination back to these places. That is a promise to you my readers.
I sincerely hope you enjoyed a sneak peek of my beautiful island home.
