Born in Jamaica in the year 1981 to parents Iva and Vincent Hunter in little district called Lewis Store my childhood years are filled with fond memories. I began school at an early age since my mother was a teacher at Highgate Hall Age Primary in Highgate, St. Mary and I was drawn to music as my dad had a small sound system that would fill the air with Bob Marleys albums every Sunday evening after church. Successfully passing my Common Entrance Examination in 1992 I moved on to St. Mary High School then subsequently to Marymount Business College and pursued additional Business Courses. Read More...
Bring Back Wi PATTY
Patriotism
All is not lost when it comes on to patriotism in Jamaica. When the need arises for us to rally and come together as one we do not need to be asked twice we naturally gravitate towards the happenings and celebrate. We need to get this same level or patriotism in other areas of the country and voice our concerns speaking truth and with integrity as one voice. Division equals failure.
Achievement
We need to find more way to push our youths to reach their full potential. This needs immediate attention. They cannot see their future if we the older generation didn’t do our jobs by creating one for them to see. There are a lot of sporting activities that could be introduced to high schools. Not all children are book inclined. They need guidance.
Tolerance
We behave as if we are not a tolerable country but truth be told we are more tolerable than we think however we need to learn to respect others for their personal choices and not cast our own beliefs and judgments on others. Together we can unite for the same causes without letting personal issues create a bridge.
Teamwork
Both sides of the political arena need to start working together for the forward movement of the country. Today’s politics has become so predictable, one side finds a solution the other tears it down. We need to come together and help to enhance each others idea. Let one party say to the other in parliament I like that idea but if you should add this then maybe it would be more beneficial to the people of Jamaica. Teamwork on both sides looks like the only way forward to stop the countries resources from wasting.
Yank
All who signed up to represent the country and is are not performing should be yanked. Regardless of your political affiliation it is time to step down and let some one who is ready to work take the reins your power should be yanked from your hands and this will send a message to those who wish to represent the people. They will know it is not about sitting down in meetings shoving papers around.
So yes Jamaica needs back its PATTY, not TASTEs Patty or Mother’s Patty but the real Jamaican PATTY our forefathers blood sweat and tears made possibler for us.
