Born in Jamaica in the year 1981 to parents Iva and Vincent Hunter in little district called Lewis Store my childhood years are filled with fond memories. I began school at an early age since my mother was a teacher at Highgate Hall Age Primary in Highgate, St. Mary and I was drawn to music as my dad had a small sound system that would fill the air with Bob Marleys albums every Sunday evening after church. Successfully passing my Common Entrance Examination in 1992 I moved on to St. Mary High School then subsequently to Marymount Business College and pursued additional Business Courses. Read More...
Pearls of Wisdom
Last evening I stumbled on a Ziploc bag I have been storing loose pearls. I love to wear pearls especially the white ones and at times the link in the necklace gets broken and I end up storing them. Every time I stumbled on this bag I am immediately reminded of my promise to do an art and craft project with my daughter but that has been three years now so without further procrastination I proceeded to get my supplies to make a necklace.
Sitting up in bed quite comfortable at 10:30p.m. I got down to business and as I began to pass the line through the pearls a thought came across. The more pearls I strung the more the thought came alive.
Many of us are like these pearls we were once a whole necklace ; spanking new and shining for all to see. Then one day something happened and the link/ the wholesome feeling broke and then we became dismembered and in pieces. What if we should begin the process of becoming a whole again by taking one problem/ situation at a time and put the pieces (pearls) back together on the line? Wouldn’t we once more become a whole?
Start putting back your pearls (life) together one day at a time. In the end you will become whole again and the good thing is you will become the NEW you you’ve always wanted. I now have a new necklace that is unique and classy. I cant wait to wear it.
